This Privacy Policy explains how [Inner Peace Experience] (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Inner Peace mobile app, the Inner Peace website, and related services (including the Inner Peace Podcast and our YouTube integrations) (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2) What we collect

We collect information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third parties you choose to connect.

• You provide: account details (name, email), optional journaling entries and mood check-ins, and (if you use bookings) session preferences.
• Automatic: device and app data (device model, OS/app version, language, time zone), usage and diagnostic logs (e.g., crash/error logs, request metadata), website cookies.
• Third parties you connect:
  • Sign-in (Google/Apple): basic profile and an account identifier.
  • Subscriptions via RevenueCat/App Store/Play: purchase receipts and entitlement status (we don’t receive full card numbers).
  • Google Calendar/Meet (optional for bookings): only the minimum needed to create events you request (title, time, attendees, meet link).
  • YouTube (Simon James & Inner Peace Podcast channels): we fetch public channel content to display within the app.

Journal content is optional and private to your account. We do not request or store medical diagnoses. Do not include sensitive information you are not comfortable storing.

3) How we use information

• Provide the app: sign-in, play guided meditations (audio), show YouTube content, save journals, and (if enabled) manage bookings.
• Improve & personalize: recommend session durations (e.g., 5/10/15 minutes), remember your preferences, and refine content.
• Support & communications: respond to messages and send important service notices.
• Security & fraud prevention and legal compliance.

Legal bases (EEA/UK): performance of contract, legitimate interests, consent (where required), and legal obligations.

4) Cookies & similar technologies

On our website we use cookies for essential functions (e.g., sign-in), preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies via your browser settings. The mobile app does not rely on browser cookies.

5) Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with:

• Service providers/Processors under contract, including:
  • Google Cloud (hosting: Cloud Run, storage/Drive streaming, logs)
  • Google APIs (Sign-In; optional Calendar/Meet for bookings)
  • YouTube (public channel content)
  • RevenueCat and App Stores (subscriptions/entitlements)
  • Analytics and error logging tools (to fix bugs and improve stability)
• Partners at your request (e.g., when you book a session with a coach).
• Authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
• Business transfers (e.g., merger or acquisition).

6) International transfers

We may process data in countries other than yours (e.g., US/EU). Where required, we use safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses.

7) Retention

• Account/profile: while your account is active and for a reasonable period after (to resolve disputes/comply with law).
• Journals & check-ins: until you delete them or delete your account; backups may persist briefly.
• Logs: typically up to 12 months unless needed longer for security or legal reasons.
• Bookings: typically up to 24 months for support history.

We may anonymize data for analytics and retain it without a time limit.

8) Your rights

California (CCPA/CPRA): you have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt-out of “selling”/“sharing” personal information (we don’t sell). We won’t discriminate for exercising your rights.

9) YouTube & Google disclosures

Features that use YouTube API Services are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke access via your Google Account: myaccount.google.com/permissions.

If you enable Google Calendar/Meet bookings, we access only what’s needed to create/manage events you request; we do not store your calendar contents beyond that purpose.

10) Security

We use safeguards such as encryption in transit (HTTPS), least-privilege service accounts, and monitoring. No method is 100% secure; we work to improve continuously.

11) Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child provided data, contact us to request deletion.

12) Third-party links

We link to third-party sites (e.g., YouTube). Their practices are governed by their own policies.

13) Data deletion

You can delete journal entries in-app. To request full account deletion, email [Contact Email] from the address associated with your account. We will confirm and process your request, subject to legal retention requirements.

14) Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post updates here and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in-app or by email.
